After collecting your Bunk Camper from the Bunk Campers London depot head towards Dorset. The drive takes approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.
When you reach Dorset, you might want to head out to the local food shops and collect your groceries, stocking up your fridge with everything you need for the holiday.
Dorset is often referred to as the Jurassic Coast. The drive along the Dorset coast is within one of the UK’s largest areas of outstanding natural beauty with extraordinary landscapes of ‘the Jurassic Coast.’
Must-see destinations in Dorset include Durdle Door, one of the most iconic landmarks in the UK. Durdle Door has great international geological importance as its natural limestone arch was formed when waves eroded the rock and created a hole.
Another must-see destination is Lulworth Cove, a wonderful walking and visitor centre. Time spent exploring the cave offers a relaxing and gentle experience of the special Jurassic Coast.
You can also visit Corfe Castle and spend time exploring the grounds taking in one of Dorset’s most photogenic panoramas.
For spectacular beach views, head to West Bay Beach and explore the stunning and dramatic cliffs. Follow the coastal hike along West Bay. The bay is a quiet beach, so why not take some time to sit with the quiet and enjoy a stroll on the beach, enjoying the peace and tranquillity it brings.
Take a short drive to the charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, in west Dorset. Lyme Regis is often referred to locally as the ‘Pearl of Dorset.’ Explore the beautiful Monmouth Beach and Sandy Beach. You can also head to Lyme Regis Brewery and sample the local beer and cider.
Stop off at Chesil Beach, one of the world’s longest pebble barriers, running for 18 miles. Make sure to check out the highest cliff along the whole Southern English coastline known as the Golden Cap.

You might want to follow the Dorset coast, to the fascinating town of Weymouth.

You might also want to visit the village of Burton, Bradstock in Dorset. The village is often referred to as a chocolate-box village with teashops and gift shops that stand behind the sandstone cliffs. Here, you can also explore the crumbling rocks for exposed fossils.

Over the next two days, spend time exploring the beautiful South Devon and experience a relaxed pace of living. Devon is filled with spectacular sights of England’s southwest coast.
Head towards the thriving and historic cathedral city of Exeter and take time to explore the city’s iconic Gothic Cathedral.
The town of Dartmouth is filled with so much beauty, including Dartmouth Castle and its surrounding grounds. Explore the castles woodland walks, and keep an eye out for the wildlife and birds.
After you have explored the castle, why not take a walk down to Compass Cove Beach and walk along the coastal path taking in the gorgeous sights.

Start the drive towards the city of Plymouth. The drive covers a glorious coastline of small sandy coves backed by rolling green dairy farmland.
On the way to Plymouth, you might want to take a short drive down to the Start Point Lighthouse. This famous lighthouse can’t be missed and has marked its spot for over 180 years. It’s flashing light remains an iconic landmark along the South Devon coast.
When you reach Plymouth, you will discover a gorgeous city steeped in maritime history and culture. With great arts, entertainment, and shopping, there is something in Plymouth for everyone. It is also the birthplace of Plymouth Gin for any gin lovers.
For an afternoon activity, you might want to visit Central Park, the largest park in Plymouth. It was created in 1928 with the intention to improve the health of city residents.
Veryan Camping and Caravanning Site has beautiful tree-framed views situated on the Peninsula in South Cornwall.
Plymouth is home to the oldest bakery in the world, Jacka Bakery. This bakery made biscuits that were sent to the Pilgrims in America in the early 1600s. Make sure to stop by and visit Jacka Bakery and taste some of the delicious goodies at this award winning bakery.
You might also want to visit the Bounty Project, which offers unique heritage experiences and tours in Plymouth Sound National Marine Park.

Cornwall has so much beauty to see, you could spend an entire week exploring the county if you had the luxury of enough time. However, as part of the South West 660 road trip, you can spend up to 3 days here to see enough sights and meet enough people to really gain a sense of the true beauty of Cornwall.
Spend the next three days exploring everything that Cornwall has to offer. From country houses and castles to mines and museums, gardens, and wildlife, Cornwall has something for everyone.
Cornwall is home to some of the best beaches in the UK. According to The Times the best beaches in Cornwall as Porthcurno and Porthminster.
Take a short drive to one of Cornwall’s largest towns, St Austell. In this town, you can visit the Shipwreck Treasure Museum which can be found in the Merchants of Charlestown building over-looking Charlestown harbour.
Spend the next three nights at Court Farm Campsite, located in the heart of Cornwall.
Court Farm Campsite has stunning, peaceful surroundings making it the perfect campsite to unwind. The campsite has gorgeous views over the surrounding countryside.
Cornwall’s coastline is 433 miles long with over 300 beaches! It is recommended that the best time to visit Cornwall is from July to August as the temperature is warm so you can make the most out of the tranquil beaches. If you are interested in exploring Cornwall when the temperature is cooler, then Spring and Autumn are the best months with fewer crowds and pleasant weather.
At St Austell, you can also visit the Lost Gardens Heligan where there is a network of magical gardens, woodland walks and farmland brimming with interest an intrigue with over 200 acres.

Travelling from Cornwall, you will reach the Northern side of Devon.
You might want to head to the fishing village of Clovelly, and learn about its history dating back to the 19th century. This fishing village is privately-owned, so a small fee is needed to access the village. The village has been preserved to represent a 19th-century fishing village. At this village you can go to Fisherman’s Cottage and admire views of the village from the harbour.
In Appledore, you can explore colourful houses and Atlantic sunsets. The small, and yet beautiful village, is authentic to the South West 660 road trip.
For a truly unique and immersive experience, allow one full day for a boat trip and overnight stay in the beautiful Lundy Islands. From IIfracombe harbour, you can take a boat trip to Lundy Island. After a short two hour boat trip, you will arrive at one of the most beautiful islands in the whole country. Lundy Island is often referred to as the ‘Galapagos of the UK’ with its huge range of wildlife. The Island is located between the Bristol Channel and the Atlantic Ocean, giving it huge history and character.

Somerset is filled with natural beauty including rolling green hills, cliffs, rivers and coastlines. Visit the Mendrip Hills, an area of outstanding Natural Beauty. Also, Exmoor National Park is renowned for its dramatic coastal views.
If you are looking for free activities and things to do in Somerset, then why not try the monuments at Wellington, Burton Pynsent or the Admiral Hood Monument at Compton Dundon.

It’s the end of your South West 660 road trip, and time to drive back to the London depot. The drive takes approximately 2 hours.
Before heading off, enjoy your last breakfast in your motorhome or eat out in a cafe on the way back.
