It was built thousands of years ago by the prehistoric people of Orkney and is a declaration of their customs and traditions. 

It includes four key sites near Stromness on the Orkney Mainland – Skara Brae, Maeshowe, The Stones of Stenness and The Ring of Brodgar. You can let your imagination run wild and create a mental picture of how these communities lived before.
